1. USSD method

This is the most reliable and efficient method to check your data balance. It is very fast and has no cost attached to it. It is absolutely free.

Using this method also discloses some additional information on your data bundle. They will be broken down and made known to you here.

To check your data balance via USSD, follow this procedure:

STEP 1: Dial *228#

STEP 2: A message pops us telling you to wait for your data balance via SMS.

STEP 3: Your 9mobile data balance will be sent to you via SMS within two seconds

This message will also inform you of your current bundle, and the expiry date of your bundle.

2. SMS method

Alternatively, you can check your balance by using the SMS method. This method is also fast and reliable. To check your 9mobile balance via the SMS method, follow the procedure carefully;

STEP 1: Send the message BAL to the shortcode 228. Make sure the message in the block letters as written above.

STEP 2: Wait for your data balance. The message comes within few seconds.

This method is also fast but not as fast as the USSD method.

3. My 9moblie app method

This method is also fast, but not as fast as the USSD method. But this method requires you to download the My 9mobile app from the google playstore or the IOS appstore. This app is compatible with any phone.

After downloading the app, you will be required to login with your registered 9mobile number.

On logging in, you’ll see your dashboard which contains your data balance on it. Stressful right?….I know it is. So you are advised to make use of the USSD method. It is the most preferable method to check your data balance.

However, if any of these methods does not work for you, you can try calling the 9mobile customer care on 200. You can also go to any 9mobile office nearest to you.
