Presently, there are two (2) methods to check your data balance. They are;
1. USSD Method;
2. My Airtel App method.
1. The USSD method
This is the most efficient and reliable method of checking your data balance on Airtel network. It is very fast and costless.
To check your data balance via USSD, follow these steps;
STEP 1: You should dial *140#.
STEP 2: On sending, It brings the message, “Dear customer, you will receive an SMS with your data balance details shortly”. You should try this method.
STEP 3: Similarly, you can check your data balance by dialing the USSD short code “*141#“.
STEP 4: It brings a seven options. Select 7, which is “check data balance“.
STEP 5: The system then sends your data balance as a message to your airtel SIM. The message will also contain the expiry date of your data plan
2. My airtel app method
Alternatively, you can also check your data balance, using the My Airtel App. The “My Airtel App” can be downloaded on google play store and the IOS app store. It is compatible with any device.
This application can be used to buy data plans, check data balance, and also communicate with the customer care representative.
However, to make use of the My airtel app, you must have a secure data connection to the internet.
On logging in, it displays your data balance on the right hand side of the screen.
Another amazing feature from the My Airtel app is that you get 1024MB by just downloading the app and signing up with your registered airtel phone number.
